39 Reviews on “Chuck E. Cheese”
Food is OK. Beer is terrible but the kids love it and that’s what counts.
Wow, I didn’t think I could possibly write a review with this much enthusiasm, but my friends, the day has come. I must insist, this Chuck E. Cheese was absolutely the highest class facility I have ever been to in my entire life. The food, flawless. The beer, grade A. The games, out of this world. The moment I walked in, it was like a wonderland of happiness and excitement that was beyond any fathomable measure. I have been Sicily, Italy, and sampled the highest class (or so i thought) pizza in the world, but Chuck absolutely knows how to make a pie. This pizza was so succulent, that the aged mozzarella absolutely melted in my mouth, ending with remarkable crust comparable to a world class baguette. And at $8 a pizza, I was in heaven. I will be coming back to this Chuck E. Cheese for lunch every single day for the rest of my life. In fact, my wife and will be honeymooning here, in a landslide vote by me and our family, over the Ritz Carlton in Beaver Creek. If you haven’t been to this Chuck E. Cheese, you have not lived.
One star and I didn’t even eat there.
I took my niece and nephew there the other day, big mistake. 2 out of the 6 skee ball games were broken, as well were a number of other games. Many had “out of order” tags on them while many more just ate your tokens.
Glad I didn’t eat there. I would NEVER even think of eating from the salad bar. It is directly adjacent to the counter where you redeem your tickets. If/when there is a line to exchange the tickets children get from playing various games, it runs directly in front the salad bar. Most children are much shorter than the sneeze guard for salad bars. Don’t think I need to say any more. In addition to the poor planing of the physical layout of the restaurant, while in line with my niece and nephew, I had unfortunately a long time to look at the ingredients of the salad bar itself. The beets were all but dehydrated as was the spinach.
The staff was polite and VERY patient with with children, the one nice thing about this establishment.
Will try D&B’s the next time my niece and nephew come and visit
We come to chuckecheese because it’s easy to keep an on our kids and they request to come here. The pizza is good and love the salad bar. This location is in a nice area and we drive 30 minutes to come here a few times a year. They always have good online coupons. Tokens last for an hour or two because all games are only one token. If you have a child 6 and under this is extremely helpful because you don’t have to worry about them putting in too many or not enough.
Looks like chuckee went on a diet recently and lost about 100 lbs. last time I saw him come out and hand out tickets and dance with the kids he looked very different. 🙂
After many years of never being a fan of this place, I have changed my mind. We have four kids and sometimes, despite our best attempts, we need to take them for birthday parties or just to run off some steam during bad weather. As luck would have it, we had to be here 2 separate times this week. Both times, the manager was very kind to our kids, especially our son with autism. The whole staff was really helpful and accommodating. The machines were in great condition and we never had to wait too long for any to be open.
I really appreciated the salad bar that had some great options for me to add some roughage to my kids’ plates. I also let myself relax for the first ever and let the kids run free because they had a staff member at the door at all times to check that our numbers matched. Our kids were allowed to be kids and have so much fun just letting their wild flag fly. We will actually be back because of these 2 experiences.
We had the best time! My 1 year old and 3 year old loved it. The pizza was surprisingly good. This particular location customer service and cleanliness was off the charts. Every single game was in working order and several times the staff checked in to see how we were doing. Also, I loved there were only two shooting games. We aren’t a big on violence family so having plenty basketball and race car options was wonderful. Great cold day way to spend the afternoon!!
We went there for my kids 5th birthday. I was hesitant because having a large rat as your mascot is not a good idea for a restaraunt. However, Bob the manager was fantastic. The staff was polite, the place.was clean and I was just happy to see my kid and her friends just having fun in a safe environment. Thank you BOB, and Chuck E Cheese.
Came here after Tilt Pinball $10 Thursday fouled up its staffing and their place wound up closed. Drove up from Lton with 2 seven yr old boys.
It was pretty clean but the objection comes from staffing and games. There were only three “games” — the shoot em up types — and everything else was “use tokens to win tickets” type slot machine gaming. Very different ratio of game-games than I am used to at Littleton’s CEC.
Also they are grossly understaffed. One person manning all front desk functions is insufficient.
By far the worst location I have ever brought my kids to. Almost every game is out of order, no one is working the floor to fix the games, I informed the manager about the games… he just asked which ones and then said sorry. No money back, no tickets, nothing. Totally run down, dirty, and understaffed.
Lousy management. I asked for a beer and the under 21 girl working the register had to go ask her manager to ring it up. First time, yeah, the disgruntled manager came and rang it up after putting her cell phone down.
Second time I asked for a beer the under 21 girl again went to the manager and she waved her off while again having her cell phone up to her ear. The girl came back and told me “Sorry, I can’t ring up beer right now.”
I asked, “Your manager is kind of lazy huh?” I got a “yeah, but I can’t say anything” look.
We’ll go to another CEC for our next kids birthday.
Chuck E.Cheese
Great place to bring your children, grandchildren and friends and family. We decided last minute on a frigid cold Saturday night to celebrate our granddaughters birthday , 4 years old. We walked into a warm and friendly atmosphere, from our greeter at the door. We recommend reservations, this location is super busy so call ahead. We were ” Stamped” then headed to the Cashier to purchase our plan, it’s pretty standard to purchase tickets, food and drinks all at once. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, 2 salad bars soft drinks and a few beers. The tables were clean and our service was great. I noticed the staff was teens and young adults, very friendly and helpful with the kids.
The pizza was very good, salad bar was very fresh and CLEAN.
My granddaughter had a fantastic time for her first visit.
Thank you to the awesome staff for making our night !
Barely worth the one star. This place was just down right awful. We had a party for a 5 year old and the waitress brought out our pizzas late and then couldn’t be found to ask for plates. We ended up sitting there with our food going cold before we got plates. Our pitchers for the drinks also never got refilled unless I got up and did it myself. I cleaned off our table myself because she sat the Birthday cake on a bunch of used plates. So why do I have a personal party host to take care of us if I saw her maybe 2 times throughout the entire 2 hour party. The management is a joke. They kept telling us Chucky would come out and dance and throw out tickets for the Birthday kids and he never came out. Meanwhile multiple employees were sitting around on their phones. These poor kids were so upset. The count down till Chucky happened three times on the TV before he came actually out and I swear it was the saddest thing I ever saw. Chucky looked like he was having the worst day of his life and could even get the kids excited. The games are broken and not one person working in the arcade. The ticket counting machine was even worse as one machine was working to count everyone’s tickets. We waited in line for nearly 30 mins just to get our tickets counted. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. You will be better off going to Boondocks.
This is the third birthday party I attended at this particular Chuck-E-Cheese, and it will be the last.
Pretty much everything and anything that could go wrong did.
1. They only brought out half the pizzas, the second half didn’t come out for another 30 minutes. Of course the kids already dispersed, then we had to have the cake because of the time. I noticed that most parents didn’t eat anything so the kids could eat first. I overheard one employee say that the pizza cook didn’t do their job and put the pizzas in the oven (not sure if that’s true or not).
2. I ordered a sandwich when only half the pizzas came out thinking the count was off (it wasn’t). After about 45 minutes I asked for a refund, the manager said the sandwich just came out of the oven and would be brought to me. After the 10 minutes passed I asked for a refund. The manager didn’t even say sorry or anything, nothing – nada.
3. The salad bar was nasty, the vegetables were wilted, darkened; clearly not fresh. You could see on the floor behind the bar where salad was just thrown on the floor. They were so short handed that they decided to abandon cleanliness.
4. The games were breaking down and nobody was available to fix them. Employees would walk away from redeeming prizes from tickets while the kids and parents were right – completely disrespectful.
5. The machines used to count the tickets were broken, only half worked so lines were getting silly.
The good thing is after I left, I stopped at a Sonic and got hamburger in about five minutes, didn’t have to wait the 55 minutes as expected at Chuck E Cheese.
To the general manager: You clearly do not have enough people working at the restaurant and priorities of work are not defined. You also are allowing for your salad bar to be visually unappealing. When stuff happens, you need to direct or empower your employees to attempt to remedy the situation on the spot. Me waiting longer than 10 minutes for a sandwich is unsat, I should have been offered a plate from the salad bar or something to tie me over until my sandwich showed up (even if it looked nasty).
I received a coupon for a free personal pan pizza for this place I decided to check them out. I heard horror stories about chucks pizza. It tastes like cardboard one story said, I would rather eat day old pizza from a gas station said another, so I was hesitant in going and almost at one point didnt go. But I was in the neighborhood and I had the coupon in hand so I figured it was free and if I didnt like it I could always just toss it. I ordered the barbeque chicken pizza on thin crust and after sitting down and listening to overly loud video games make their obnoxious noises and having a bunch of kids run around like a pack of wild animals around my table the pizza arrived. The pizza surprisingly looked edible and after first bite was surprisingly tasty as well. Now I’m not going say it was the best pizza ever and everybody should go out and try it. But I can say that I had pizzas in actual pizza shops that were way worse. So for a place that caters mainly to kids, the food wasnt to bad. Coincidentally, Chuck E Cheese is celebrating their 40th anniversary from when they opened up their first location. so not to bad Chuck, not to bad.
I took my 4 year old son to Chuck E Cheese today. We arrived at about 11:15 (they open at 11) to beat the rush, lol. It’s a Thursday so needless to say there is one other parent and kiddo here. We waited about 3 min before anyone noticed us at the front entry point. A young lady told me she would be with us in a min. After getting our hand stamped I asked how to order. She pointed to a machine… and said it was “easier”. I placed an order at the machine (right next to the front counter where you can order with a person , if there was one…). It didn’t give me a receipt and advised me to go to the “get your cup” sign. I waited there a min or two before getting someone’s attention for our cups and plates. We decided to get the buffet so we could have salad, pizza and a dessert. If you’ve been to Chuck E Cheese recently you’ve noticed they no longer have tokens but have cards that you can reload. Again I was advised to use the machine to load the card because it is “easier”. And again no receipt. My little guy was able to run and begin to spend his “money”. I headed to the buffet to get my lunch … and there is a salad and 2 pizza options… the girl said more would be out in a few minutes…. it’s now 11:45 and no new food has been brought out. I am still waiting for an employee to surface to ask for a fork. There is no sound or music on. (Generally, there is the music tv and “robot” Chuck moving about on the stage.) Chuck E has not made an appearance or done the “ticket splash” which is every hour on the 30 min. (According to the signs). I realize that it is a Thursday. But I have spent $20 on food and $30 on play money… so feeling frustrated. I see an employee now! Got to go grab a fork before she disappears again… if you decide to venture here… just expect your lil ones to have fun running about. But not much else.
11:55 music came on. There are about 4 employees… Thank goodness. However it’s 12:26pm and the buffet is still the 2 same pizzas and nothing else! $6.95 is not a deal.
At 12:30 Chuck E came out and hugged my lil guy and dance and then “splashed” tickets to him. He was so excited. The manager was checking machines and gave my lil guy extra tickets and allowed him to play the machines since they had credits after being reset. This is why I am giving 3 stars … his happiness and experience. BTW. It’s 1pm and the dessert pizza was FINALLY added to the buffet. It was hot and pretty darn good. Not worth the 2 hour wait though.
We have 3 kids, ages 3,5 & 7. We always let them pick 1 activity of their choice for their birthday and they usually always pick this place(not our 1st choice by any means), but it’s their birthday. We came today for my son’s 3rd birthday. They jacked the prices of the games last week, 20-25 play points for each game. What a joke. My kids were out of points before the pizza even came and we got the biggest token package available. If you can only get bubble gum candy and toys no matter how many tickets you win, at least let them play longer on $50. The prizes are even more lame now for the amount of $$ you have to spend to play the games. My kids love this place but we won’t ever return.
Wow. Talk about crappy service… We walked in to be greeted by the blank stares of teenagers behind the counter. No greeting, just the cold, dead eyes of wasted adolescence. Finally someone came to help us. I’m assuming this was the manager as he was a well groomed adult and very polite. Then I made the mistake of trying to order a snack. No less than 4 employees (again, staring at me from behind the counter) appeared to be able to help me, just not willing. One finally offered that she was on a break. Listen, I was one of those asshole youth 20 years ago. However, when I was at my job, I WORKED. I acknowledged the customers I was paid to help. These kids didn’t even attempt to appear helpful. Chuck E Cheese is its own private hell on its own with the screaming children and absentee parents. Can the employees at least be a redeeming aspect of the experience?
I was very impressed with this place! My daughter was obsessed after a class field trip here and one of her friends scheduled a Sunday birthday party here. I was a little worried given the reviews here, but off we went. It was a great time! The staff was super energetic and helpful. Service was great. The place was super clean. Food was plentiful and the pizza was delicious. The games were new and super fun to play. My daughter had a blast. Not a tear was shed in this joint. Every kid seemed super happy, which is what counts. Lots of attention was given to the birthday kid for sure.
I do wish they would weigh the tickets. Instead we had to feed the tickets into a machine to count them and get a receipt. My kid didn’t mind, but I certainly did. It was tedious and also kept a lot of people waiting for the 3 ticket eating machines available. Especially when they throw up single tickets for the ticket splash. That’s a lot of tickets to feed into a machine one at a time. Tip – do not let your kid tear up the tickets AT ALL COSTS! 100 + tickets even fed great into the machine as one continuous piece.
Also, it would be super cool if they had the full animatronic band, not just Chuck E. Cheese. This comes from my limited experience of Chuck E. Cheese in my youth. Frankly, I don’t know if they still make the robots for the whole band or what.
I would strongly recommend this location. They even open early on Sundays (9-11am) for sensory-friendly experiences for kids with special needs, which is great!
This was our (my two year old was with me) first time to Chuck E. Cheese. I had fond memories of it as a kid so I was hoping to do the same with mine! However, the games are limited and the tickets are few per game. Many games also last less than 30 seconds! There weren’t many games geared toward my 2 year old which is understandable, but he got bored quickly with the games he was able to play. After $30, and 90 minutes we ended up with about 900 tickets which was basically enough to get him a ring pop. Luckily, he is two and wasn’t disappointed with that, but I’m sure an older child would be pretty depressed with just that to show! It also took 5+ minutes for an employee to help us spend our tickets. We had planned on eating there but after checking out the “buffet” we passed. This place has potential but it isn’t worth the money in my opinion! Older, more independent kids are probably better suited for it.
I’ll admit from the beginning I’m biased–I am a single male adult who attended my nephew’s birthday party here. There is nothing to do for grown ups at this place.
The food is terrible, and the games are for kids (obviously). I can remember having fun here as a boy myself, but since I don’t have any little humans of my own, I was bored.
This probably sounds selfish of me, but I’m just being honest that you’ll be making a sacrifice for the children if you go here.
We went last week and barely no employees to assist when needed. Bathrooms and floor needed to be clean. Waited at the front door for several minutes to even get checked in. Chuckle was not interactive especially when all the kids were clearly running up to him and excited to see real chuckie. Most of the games for the unlimited kept saying try again so we wasted our unlimited minutes just trying to get the machine to take the card and/or didn’t produce the tickets when the kids won. The train ride would also start and then not move. It was a waste of money trying to spend time with daughter.
Terrible, terrible customer service. The employee didn’t understand their menu at all. We tried to order a sampler appetizer, and she kept ringing us up for the items separately. It took 20 minutes just to get in the door and order. After that, it was IMPOSSIBLE to get help with anything. I went up the counter to get a box, and the employee ignored me for ten minutes until I just left without the rest of our food (which by the way, sucks, but we went for my daughters 2nd birthday). She enjoyed the rides, but the play cards are a rip-off too. I expected that, and wouldn’t have minded that so much, if everything else wasn’t a complete and total hassle. My daughter had fun, hence the second star, but I doubt I will brave going back there any time soon due to the terrible experience.
My boys, mother In law and I went around noon on a Saturday. It was a little on the packed side. The establishment was dirty trashes were full and plates and cups were on tables. The staff was somewhat friendly and helpful. I did manage to get a online coupon which was honored. We orderd pizza, got a table and played games. A game next to us wasn’t working right and kept repeating very loud please get attendant. That machine want off for 30 min we told staff about it 4 times. That was definitely very irritating. Pizza tasted great and didnt take long. I think that if we do decide to go again it will be early in the morning
This one is nice but small and outdated games. They always seem short staffed. They have one person doing the cooking, door checker, cashier, and machine
Took our grand-daughter to lunch at Chucky Cheeses. Arrived shortly after 11:00 AM, soon after opening. The bathroom was filthy, toilet paper all over the floor, stuffed toilets, garbage bins over flowing. The main area had not been vacuumed. Garbage left on the stage with Chucky. Obviously, poor management. Don’t think I will be back any time soon ;-(
My family visits this location every now and then. We have never had trouble here. Today’s experience was the best, with the staff being so friendly and patient with my children.
We come here all the time with our kids and they love it. The personal is very nice, lost my credit card and I called and it was there. They found it and save it for me! Amazing! 5 starts for sure!
What a great experience for families, adults and kids alike. Excellent customer service. The staff really cares about everybody having a great time. We found the location in Superior to be very clean and most of the games were in operation. I can’t say enough good things about the people that run this place. They’re friendly, engaging and generous and it really shows. My grandson has a great time when we come here. It’s really nice to have a place where you can feel your child is safe and where you yourself can relax. Even the food deserves to be acknowledged. My grandson and I enjoyed a pineapple pizza and it was really very good.We will definitely come back time and time again.
My son had his birthday here and had an awesome time!! The place was clean, food was good, and everyone was friendly. Highly recommend this place!
Do not come here! I was here over an hour with my two little boys and we never go our pizza. the manager told me it was almost done about 40minutes being there and it never showed up. I got a full refund but this was the most garbage Chuck E. Cheese i have ever been to.
not worth it here bottom line.
Not enough staff. Need to hire more people. Felt bad for those working. Didn’t check us or many of the families as we left so what’s the point of having the kid check-in?
This review is for the Superior, CO location. I hadn’t been to a Chuck E Cheese in at least 15 years, it was so fun to go back! My two boys and I loved this place. It was clean and all but one game machine was working. We did the unlimited pass which was a blast. We paused it one time to eat and then played some more. The one gentleman working the whole place was polite and helpful. I do wish we could have seen Chuck E Cheese and the band. It’s been replaced with a large video screen of Chuck E Cheese and friends instead. The kids had fun dancing on the dance floor to the music. We can’t wait to come back.
Had a wonderful time with my son today at Chuck E. Cheese in Superior, Colorado. The staff were extremely accommodating in helping us choose our menu and game selections. We had a blast. The pizza was better than expected. Can’t wait to get back there with the entire family.
this is the best chuck E cheese I’ve ever went to. I went there last Thursday with my family and there wasn’t anybody there but the manger who was working that night was very sweet and it was just very nice and the pizza was great I hope anybody would want to go here and play all the amazing fun games 10/10 would recommend anyone go there
I went here there other day and it has since changed. It seems more cleaner, and better customer service. But it’s extremely pricey. So to save on cost, we ate before. And then we did the 1 hour all you can play. I love that idea. You can do anything for 1 hour. That includes all rides, all coins games, ticket games, even taking photos. It’s all included. I actually like that vs what it used to be with tokens. I recommend coming on a weekday since they do specials. And less busy too. The only downside is they did away with those classic animatronics, I just grew up with them. And another downside was that chuckie never came out for the kids. The staff said it was not busy enough. So that was a big bummer.
Overall it was a fun experience! We won’t be back everyday. But when we go back. We will just do the 1
Hour play it’s worth it.
I have NEVER been so dissatisfied. My mouth was as dry as the Sahara dessert. When I ordered a water, the male employee had an AirPod in, and proceeded to walk away. We were already waiting for an employee at the counter for 30 minutes prior to ordering. Additionally, I asked a different employee nicely if she could please open the trampoline for my little sister, she said yes, and never opened it. This left my sister in tears. The employees are all inattentive, the food is not edible, and the establish is absolutely disgusting. Never have I been so heartbroken by a children’s attraction.
This establishment needs to hire people with more than one brain cell! I’ve never been so disappointed in a Chuck E cheese location. I know the corporation has to make millions and billions so they’re going to jack all the prices up but $29 for a pizza you could get anywhere else for $14 is ridiculous!
We went here on Friday night. When we got here about 6:00 p.m. it was not super busy but somehow the employees couldn’t find time to man the front counter. After about 20 minutes we finally got our tokens and placed our order – nothing complicated, a supreme pizza and some hotwings for the adults and a personal pan pizza for my grandson. We were handed a buzzer since they no longer delivered to the table and we went off to play games. Fast Forward almost 30 minutes later the buzzer had not gone off. I walked over to the window only to find my pizza and hot wings sitting in the window. This is not the first time this has happened, apparently the kitchen doesn’t understand how to actually use the buzzer system they just give them to you to make you feel better about yourself.
Once we did finally get our order we were still missing the personal pan pizza. I went back over to ask the manager about it and he said no problem I’ll bring it right out. We waited about another 10 minutes and asked again and the Mexican lady behind the counter was not only rude but treated us like idiots because we didn’t keep our buzzer ( after the manager took it promising to bring the food to our table)
The food was decent. Nothing to write home about but not terrible and we all enjoyed dinner. My only complaint is it’s about 3x the price it should be but I guess that’s how you screw over an entire organization especially when the majority of the customers are foreigners so probably not intelligent enough to understand the value of what they’re paying.
Getting dessert was what took the cake, literally! We ordered a slice of cake and were handed a buzzer. She told us it would take about 10 to 15 minutes!!
Now I know based on the food I’ve already had that they aren’t making fresh cake for every order so why should it take 10 to 15 minutes to cut a slice of cake and put it on the plate? Fast forward almost 20 minutes later we want back and asked her about the cake. She disappeared and came back with a prepackaged piece of cake sitting on a plate. Really!
Like I said apparently using more than one brain cell by the staff at this establishment is not allowed. Evidently they don’t know how to put a piece of cake that is already prepackaged on a plate, I’m guessing it was too difficult to open the freezer door!!
The apathy of nearly every employee at this location is amazing. If the manager had apologized or done anything to make up for it I might feel differently but
We won’t be back anytime soon …
Took my daughter and my 2 grand daughters here last summer. The staff was great, the games were fun and OMG! Their stuffed crust pizza was the best stuffed crust pizza I’ve ever had! No joke! They changed their dough and sauce recipe and although pricey, it was so delicious! I just wish they would use that recipe for their frozen pizzas they sell at Walmart. Those still taste like cardboard.
Went here on 8/9/25. I have two young children. Not that busy when we got there but was steady when we left. Pizza was good. Cookie was good. Staff was very friendly. We bought the game package that last 60 minutes. Perfect for my young kids cause they were just bouncing game to game. Always a fun place.
