Best ice arena in the US. What could be more fun than bumper cars on ice? We had a blast bumping and spinning around on ice. Afterwards we did some ice skating. The rink was almost empty so it made it easier for the kids. They had lots of equipment to help those that are not great skiers. They even had a little sled for me to push my four year old around in. My favorite part though was trying out the hockey sticks. I had never played hockey and had a great time attempting!! Thanks for the great time!!!
We called to book a reservation for their bumper cars on ice. The message on the machine said to leave your name, phone number and how many people were doing bumper cars twice and I did. I called first thing when they opened up and left a message just like they said. Today when we went, they said they were full and didn’t have my reservation or message. Very ridiculous the way they run their business. My kids were disappointed and I don’t recommend this place to anyone. If they were full, they should have called and told me as I would have booked a different time. As it is, they now get a very negative review for their horrible service. If I could give no stars I would.
It’s the first time that I go to an ice skating place that they also have the bumper cars. The kids had so much fun. They have great customer service and make you feel like home. Will definitely come back!
Our family of 10 absolutely enjoyed the bumper cars. This exceeded our expectations. The staff certainly added to the enjoyment. Highly recommended
Rainy day? No problem!! Bring the family out for some fun. The bumper cars on ice are alot of fun. The staff is super friendly and the family always enjoys the time there.
Took my son, my daughter in law and my 2 year old granddaughter. Had a blast on the bumper tubes. The only drawback is that if you want to skate you need to bring your own. Bring your CCM Super tacks if you want to ice skate.
Great rink. Great for families. Took a day off from skiing due to cold weather and had a great time at the rink. Ice skating was great for kids of all ages (2-6 for us). They had sleds and walkers for them to easily skate. Followed it with the bumper cars for 20 minutes. You can’t go wrong spending a hour here. Highly recommended! Make sure you reserve a bumper car prior.
We had the whole family bumper boating to beat the heat! My 2yo was on my lap, 5yo was in his own boat, and the rest of the adult family of all ages had a blast in their own boats. Twenty minutes was plenty of time. We had lots of bumping. We called twenty minutes in advance to make a reservation, and we had the whole time slot to ourselves (six of us). The man running it was fantastic. He even offered to take a picture of us. He was really great at teaching my 5yo how to run the boat. Bring a jacket (but they provide them if you need them). This will be one of our favorite memories of our trip.
We had a great time doing bumper cars with the kids it was really fine driving on ice and even our six-year-old gotten to the driving as long as you’re over five you get to drive the car is yourself what a great fun time with your family
So much fun to do the bumper cars !
The staff was very nice as well. Great thing to do with little kids
What a fun place! Highly recommended. Their staff is so friendly!
They have ice bumper cars which I’d never done before. How cool! Definitely check it out. Makes ya feel like a kid again!
The town of Steamboat would be so different without Howelsen Ice Complex! They have great hockey program, figure skating, and public skate sessions for the public. A really cute venue with great ice and reasonable prices.
Great time spent here watching my son’s varsity hockey games over a spectacular weekend in September.
Beyond the awesome sight lines and friendly staff, parking is abundant, plenty of places to grab a coffee, sandwich, or beer close by, and you’re in Steamboat Springs (what is NOT to like??!!).
Here’s to hoping my son’s team chooses to play in this tournament again next season!
Thank you guys for taking such great care of my kiddo’s. Patience goes a long way. Sheila we love you!
