Awesome indoor pool open year-round. There’s an activity pool with zero-depth entry and plenty of features for the littlest to the biggest kids to play on. There’s also a lazy river that’s very fun and popular. There is also a lap and diving pool but I’ve never used those features.

(There are also various other non-pool facilities on-site, but this review just pertains to the activity pool.)

Most of the lifeguards seem attentive and not overly bossy. They are young as hell, clearly all teenagers, but they seem to have good attitudes toward their work.

    Cons:
They teach swim lessons in the activity pool for a couple of hours on a couple of weeknights (currently M and W), and so the pool is crowded with those groups. Also during the lessons, all the fun water activities are disabled (I guess to reduce the distractions that might otherwise disturb the lessons?) for a few hours. Bummer.

I do think that the temps they maintain in there, both the ambient out-of-the-water temperature as well as the pool water itself can be excessively warm. Might be very very nice in winter but it’s hardly refreshing in summertime.

EXPENSIVE. $5.25 for kids; $7.25 for adults. It costs almost twenty bucks for our little family of 3 to go swimming for 90 minutes.

Dirty! There is hair everywhere. There are family changing rooms that are like mini cabanas, equipped with a shower stall, toilet/sink, and small bench. The rooms are tile and the floors are, predictably, wet all the time. Each room is has a drain in the middle of the floor – why aren’t the employees in there once per hour rinsing the floor to get rid of the hair? It is so disgusting it almost makes me not want to go back.

Also lots of hair in the pool all the time.

The pool is great here for adults and little kids. I gave it 4 stars because when my son was about 3 or so he was in swimming lessons and the instructor was not nice to him at all (I thought it might be me being overprotective so I had a couple of others come watch his swim lessons and they agreed the instructor was mean to him) I talked to a supervisor though and they had a talk with the instructor and after that he was much nicer to my son.

I love this Recreation Center. It says no food, but they let you bring in a giant picnic into the family swimming area. It’s great for kids, they love it, there’s two slides one of them is usually open. Everyone there is pretty friendly and I would recommend it for a get together.

The gym is small but all equipment is nice and works just fine. There basket ball court is large and a comfortable space. Employees at the front desk are welcoming and nice but really young. Their kids pool is not always the cleanest and it eventually gets very boring. As for their big pool, not that big and is usually not open based on their swim teams that are always their. Lastly, the life guards don’t really pay attention and don’t seem to really want to be there.

Our family enjoys going to the indoor pool. We just recently started coming back more often because the temperature used to be freezing and unacceptable. We were here for a birthday party a couple weeks back and the water was nice and warm. It was way too crowded though. Seating can be hard to find along the pool. The locker rooms can get gross if you go later in the day. A positive note though – they have added onto the playground area and it is one of our favorite spots to play in the Littleton area.

I can’t think of any other “all in one” place to go with my kids. Lap pool, diving pool, play pool with slide, playground, basketball court, racketball court, rock climbing wall, etc… District residents get in as low as $3.75 for the whole day, and I got a membership through my health insurance. Why go elsewhere? My kids love this place!

Joining Foothills Recreation is some very well spent money! We love going to the Ridge pool and indoor track on bad weather days. My wife and daughter (5yo) has taken many swim classes and now are confident in the water on their own. I enjoy the big pool for swimming laps. And there is some exercise equipment usually available to use while I’m waiting for my daughter – she takes ballet classes there too. And in the summer she attends the children day camps they offer.

They closed the pool twice when we were there because kids pooped in it. There are teenagers who come in and take over the kids areas. We encountered very disrespectful teenagers, when you tell the staff they really don’t care. Sad to see this place turning this way. Will be looking for a new rec center.

My kids love the pool here, so for my daughters 7th birthday I booked a swimming party. I was not told when I booked it that I would need to book extra time to set up. upon arrival 20mins before the party started I was told by one employee that it was fine because they were slow and the room we rented was empty and we could go ahead and go in and set up. We then had Brianna an employee tell us we would have to pay $30 to go into the room early. So we sat in the lobby with all of the party stuff all the while the room sat empty and dark. I then went back up to her and asked if we could go in 15 mins early to set up before the guests arrived since the room was just empty and we were just sitting there, she then proceeded to tell me that would cost me $15! So we sat there waiting while all of our guests started to show up until 1:00 at our exact rental time. We then had to set up with all the kids and parents standing around. I could see if the room was already rented and we had to wait for them to clear out, but the fact that it was empty and no one was there is down right ridiculous. The facilities are nice but after our experience I will not be going back anytime soon. DON’T BOOK YOU PARTY HERE! it is expensive and the staff is rude!

I really enjoy this recreation center and the fact that it is 2 mins from my house is so convenient. However, the supervisor at the ridge is the rudest person I have ever met and I’m not sure how she still has a job. I had called and asked a few questions on the phone to confirm before I went. Get they’re and I guess they’re all not true so the sweet high school students grabs her supervisor who is over the top rude from the very beginning with a terrible attitude. I left very angry and wonder how they could have someone so disrespectful in a management position. Very sour taste in my mouth.

we come here to swim and use the slide. we ALWAYS call first to see if the slide is open , they say yes and tell how is how long it will be open , we get there and it is ALWAYS closed. They have the same lame excuse when we ask why. they say they are under staffed , as you see two life guards on duty and 3. -4 sitting in a room. and 4-5 management personell are always sitting in another room laughing and talking. it is pathetic really. there is a slide for a reason

I love winter park and stumbled upon this gem at random when camping a whole week. For a mountain town this Rec center is awesome for a family. We enjoyed the indoor pools as my husband enjoyed the gym. The pools are awesome! They are warm and they got toys for kids to play with in the pool. They have such a fun play area in the pool for kids and even a fun little lazy River you can go in circles on for a while.
