My family chose to give each of our kids a day to do whatever activity they wanted and horseback riding was what my oldest daughter picked. We have two 13 y/o boys, a 15 y/o daughter and a 17 y/o daughter. JJ at Bighorn Stables was very kind and professional. She made the experience so much better than expected and we will definitely be returning.
Wow, what an incredible experience. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and the horses were so patient and well behaved. You can tell these horses are well loved and the staff love sharing their knowledge with guests. I signed my daughter up for the summer camp this summer and she is so excited. So thankful to have found this place!
My son recently finished up horse camp at Big Horn Stables. It was an amazing experience and Miss Wy/Nick/Drake/JJ were amazing. Highly recommend this camp for a week of summer fun!
On Friday took my kiddo for a horse ride. Called in the morning and was able to get a spot on the 230 ride. Our guide Serenah was amazing. We would totally go back. My boy rode Peach and I rode Rosey. Awesome experience. Highly recommend.

We had a beautiful ride this morning with Eden as our guide. She was incredibly helpful even before we arrived, making sure everything was coordinated and answering our questions. During the ride, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely at ease.
Rosie and Sparkle were fantastic horses–gentle, well-trained, and clearly very well cared for. It’s obvious Big Horn Stables takes excellent care of their animals, which made me feel confident and safe, especially with my 4-year-old riding along.
This was a special experience for us because my child and I rode together, with her sitting in my lap. We’ve both ridden before but never shared a horse, so it was such a lovely and memorable moment.
The scenery was peaceful and beautiful, with views of a large pond, native flowers, and plenty of birds to watch along the trail. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, and ideal for families with young children or anyone wanting a calm, scenic ride.
Highly recommend Big Horn Stables! We’ll definitely be back.

We did a family ride today and it was a very good experience. Eden was super friendly at checkin, and our guides Milo and Jazzy were also nice. Two of us were new to riding and I’d say this experience is suited to people who don’t ride. If you do, it might be a little boring but the scenery is still beautiful.

My daughter and I rode on Chloe and Sugar for our 1st Riding lesson and the horses as well as the staff Drake and Serena. We had a great time and will be back for more lessons and riding. We learned how to bridle, basic turns and stop, and how to feed them. I was never taught to feed the horses with a flat palm and I was somewhat afraid because when I was younger I tried to feed the horse and it tickled my hand….i jump and so did the horse, but Drake showed me how and it was a different outcome. I would recommend this stable for new, beginners, and advanced!
On Friday we went to Big Horn Stables for the 1 hr ride. This ride was especially scenic and the weather was beautiful. We really enjoyed the beauty of Chatfield State Park. Morgan and Serena were great guides. They chose Dopey for me, Meadow for hubby and our daughter, Kelly, rode Judy. The horses were great and we thoroughly enjoyed our ride.
We will highly recommend your stables for any friends we have visiting your area.
