What a darling little shop! Looking for something fun and unique? Try The Candle Kitchen. Our Book Club went there and it was fantastic!

    What’s the deal?
    * Grab a clipboard and pen. Smell the different scents (look to be over 50 different kinds). Write down your favorite.
    * Pick a container to make your candle in. They vary in size and price.
    * Grab a stool at the counter. Tell the Candle Kitchen specialist your top three or so favorite scents.
    * You’ll smell your favorites together to find your favorite scent combination. You may be surprised what smells great together.
    * Add the scented oils a little at a time to the shot jigger. Mix the oils until the jigger is full.
    * The Candle Kitchen specialist will pour the hot wax into the container and you pour your “shot” of oil into the wax and stir.
    * Pay and pick your candle up later in the day or the next day.

This place is neat and offers a different type of experience for someone looking for something to do. Great for dates, mom/daughter/son dates, parties (I booked my daughter’s birthday party here!), and groups. There is a private room in the back for groups. The counter seats about 10 people. There are a large variety of scents, from fruity to flowery to clean to manly! The prices seem reasonable and comparable to paint your own places. Great for gifts, too! Make someone a candle or give them an empty gift Candle Kitchen jar so they can enjoy making their own. I’m keeping mine! And you can bring back your old Candle Kitchen jar to make another candle ($1.00 off)!

We held my friends baby shower here today and it was perfect! They have a nice room for large parties and accommodated us with friendly and relaxed service. Tons of scents to pick from to make your own custom candle or buy from what they have. Can’t wait to go back!

We had my daughter’s 12th birthday party here and it was such a wonderful time. The girls had so much fun creating their very own scents. The staff was so kind and patient with 10 middle schoolers on a busy Saturday afternoon. I can’t wait to go back and make a candle of my own.

This place is so cute and so fun!!! A few of us moms and daughters went for a small birthday party and it was just perfect. The staff was sweet and helpful and very patient. Our 5-6 year old girls had an absolute blast. Also, there are so many smells!!!

What a fun experience and friendly staff! Five of us went (4 adults, 1 kiddo), and we all enjoyed finding our own scent combinations to create the perfect candle! The candles burn beautifully and provide the perfect amount of scent to a room. There are so many scent choices: nature, tropical, woodsy, floral, food, drinks, seasonal- almost endless. My husband mixed lime, agave and mint to create a mojito scent. There are unique ones like “old books” and “straight razor” that can be nostalgic. Ideal for keeping and for giving, and I’m looking forward to going back!

Great family run candle shop in downtown Grand Junction. My daughter loves candles, so we wanted to check it out. Fun experience blending different scents to make our own candles. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Keep up the great work – we will be back!!

Did this as a family activity. We had a great time. Great selection and workers were friendly and helpful. Very pleased with the smell and length of burn on our candles. It’s a quick process and that was the only drawback. A touch expensive for such a quick activity. But I guess worth it bc we have enjoyed our candles for a long time!
