Since I had never been here before, I had a lot of questions on process and pricing etc. The staff was really friendly and helpful and tolerant of my ignorance. I was looking for something specific to indulge my “firefighter” fan grandson and they had exactly what I was looking for. The price seemed fair so I will probably go back, once I have checked with his parents.

The children in the store with their parents seemed to be having a good time. It was a weekday morning so they were just toddlers. I have been past the place on a Saturday and it was mobbed with elementary aged kids (and some parents.)

Great place. Clean and friendly. We have gone here while pregnant with each of our three kids, to make them their future bear. Each time has been a great experience. My older son was able to “help” make his baby brothers bear, and they were both able to help make new baby’s bear this time as well. There’s a cute little tub and bath pretend area to “wash” the new bear at, and they all come with their own little birth certificates, ready for their new names and owners. Everyone here is always beyond friendly and accommodating to our whole family. So glad we have had this experience with our boys 🙂

I have been to Build-A-Bear Workshop on quite a few occasions, but typically for my children to create their own stuffed animals to mark specific milestones in their lives. However, the most recent experience I have with the store is something a bit more personal, though it wasn’t for any of my own children. My kids and I went to the Flatirons location to create a very special bear for my nephew, who was diagnosed with a rare type of leukemia.
When I entered the store, I had only learned less than 12 hours prior of my nephew’s diagnosis. I was incredibly emotional, but I was determined to do SOMETHING for him. He lives a thousand miles away in Chicago, so I couldn’t be with him, but I wanted to send something to him that let him know I was rooting for him. When the sales associate approached me, he could tell immediately that I wasn’t there for a typical situation. He asked me what was going on, and when I told him about my nephew, he hugged me and he led my children and I through the steps. He helped us along the way through every single phase of creating a Spider-Man bear for my nephew, even though there were some other customers entering the store.
The experience was certainly more than I expected from a Build-A-Bear experience. And the finished product was absolutely perfect. It represented the courage and strength I wanted to convey in a material possession. And the fact that we were able to customize it and record a get-well message made it even better. I will never forget Luke (the sales associate who helped us), and his words of kindness and encouragement. Most of all, my nephew absolutely LOVED his bear, and has a physical, tangible object to help him get through some of the most difficult times that lie ahead.

Ok guys…. they have toothless! My daughter flipped out. She was so excited. I have nothing negative to say about build a bear other than it can be so expensive. The staff obviously live their job!

I love the idea and the many many options for your kiddo to create a special toy. My only negative is the upselling. It has to stop!!! When you offer a 4 year old anything in that store, the child will always say yes. Now I as the parent must either choose to say yes and continue the fun experience or no and ruin the day. I’m all about discipline and teaching my child, but I’m not gonna be instant bad guy because you guys can’t let me purchase what i want to purchase. With that being said, I love the shop and I will come back for sure!

I am disgusted at what just took place here. We came in, and bought some new animals, as well as asking to have a couple of animals re-stuffed. After stuffing the new animals, my sister was asked to wait while they helped the customer behind her. Then we had to wait in line to pay while the re-stuffed animals were sewn up.
I paid for the new animals and they still did sew up the new animals. We were then asked to wait while they rung up one person behind us. They ended up ringing up three people while my one year-old had a complete meltdown. They finally sewed one of the animals, and then said they were going to go get help from the back to do the other. Nice to know there were more than two people working four days before Christmas, unfortunately they were all in the back! I will not be back to this location.

We came to this location on Wednesday March 14 an hour before closed. And we were greeted very rudely and was made to feel like we needed to leave. Well after 3 kids picking out there new animals waiting to have them stuffed by the girl who has twins she didn’t do the heart for my 1 yr old nor my teenager because she obviously was annoyed. Well this morning my oldest and middle child’s animals had completely come un done and stuffing was falling out. I’ve bought several build a bear over the years and not once had this problem. But now 2 outta the 3 I got last week are undone. My oldest likes to sew so she fixed them but as much as they cost we shouldn’t have to worry about it. I would avoid this location if you don’t want to be treated like your bugging the workers and you’ll want to fix the animals in the next few days. Thought this posted sorry for late review!

We came to the store to celebrate my 6 yo daughter’s birthday. There is a “Count Your Candles” promo which makes it very reasonable to buy a bear and is supposed to include a bunch of birthday fanfare, such as a birthday hat, sticker, ringing a bell, a special “birthday heart ceremony” while stuffing it – activities that don’t cost much if anything monetarily but a kid loves. Instead the employee half-heartedly helped her make the bear, remarking repeatedly that she had never used the hand control before and didn’t know how it worked (my daughter has cerebral palsy and can’t use a foot pedal) and that was that. I was bummed. We’d come to the mall specifically for this and it was a bit of a let down. Would not recommend for birthdays.

A very special thank you to the girls at Build-a-Bear, Flatirons Crossing. Your help on the phone, you willingness to do whatever it takes to have a happy customer, and your happy faces when we came to see you about making some bears…I love it when a crew knows their customers and simply does their job well! You made my daughter’s birthday super special.

I went in with my daughters today and the line was looong, BUT the people working there were so kind and fun with all of the kids. Mayra at the stuffing station made sure every child felt special. Kudos to them because that is hard work!

We had my daughters 6th bday there. Not only was the set up sooo easy but it was interactive and fun! Plus they got to take away their awesome amazing stuffy that they just picked out! The staff was amazing and I absolutely loved the lil heart beats you could add on for the stuffies! Plus my daughter got a lil bday cake for her bear!
Great job build-a-bear staff! You guys were amazing!

Had such a great day today making my daughters first birthday bear. I would show pictures but o don’t want to post my child on Yelp. We got our bear picked a heart and had such a great experience. Everyone was so sweet to us and made my daughter feel so special. Will definitely be back next year

Katt was so helpful and went above and beyond for my little grandkids! She was super friendly and greeted us with a smile. She made my grandkids night and we got pokiman stuffed animals!!! I’d definitely recommend her and this Build a Bear to anyone and will definitely come back!!

We always have a great experience at the store. Today Hannah and Sandra went above and beyond for my daughters birthday-they made her feel so special! Thank you for always being a fun place to come!

Build-A-Bear Workshop is a fun idea for kids and offers a great selection of products. The service was very friendly and helpful, which made the experience enjoyable. However, it is quite expensive–my daughter’s Baby Yoda ended up costing almost $100. The quality of the products is excellent, and my daughter really loves her new stuffed friend, so I suppose it’s worth the splurge.

It seems like ordering and picking up online might be a more cost-effective option, so I’ll probably go that route next time. Overall, it’s a fun experience, though the price can be a bit of a shock.
