6 Reviews on “Aurora Southeast Recreation Center and Fieldhouse”
First of all…… WOW
FYI THE POOL WATER IS FREEZING
This place is brand spanking new and I can believe I’m the first to review it. This place literally has it all. There is a weight/cardio area with an amazing view of the mountains. There is an indoor field house with turf. There is a basketball court. And the walking track isn’t just flat but has an incline and a decline.
The indoor pool is also full of activities. There is a deep end that goes to 7 feet. There are 2 basketball hoops. There is an activity area for littles and there is a water slide. There is a hot tub but you have to be 18+ to go in.
There are 2 party rooms off the pool area and they have a full lineup of programs they are offering. I didn’t look into it because I live in Lakewood and came out here to meet a friend who lives nearby. I am honestly shocked at how few people are here. It only cost me $4 for my daughter to swim.
If you live here, at least come take a tour of the place.
After watching this facility go up, City of Aurora’s finest Rec Center is finally open. It has some very fun and unique features to bring to the community. Aside from an impressive pool and a wonderful workout facility, the indoor track is elevated (better suited for training purposes!) and the fieldhouse is enormous!
While the Grand Opening was a fun celebration, the facilty is still in the organization stage. Classes will be coming forth and Sport Clubs will be filling up the fieldhouse fast! I don’t do pools but it is definitely one for the books….it’ll be a knockout for the children. All in baby steps!
Memberships are available or one can pay the drop in rates. Check out City Of Aurora website for details (the annual pass is a great option as you can use it at six centers throughout Aurora).
Congratulations CM Francoise Bergan and cheers for bringing our community together and helping to make it even better!!! Pretty epic I must say and so happy to welcome this facility to our neighborhood.
I went swimming and got athletes foot infection a few days later and it’s not going away. I’ve tried three anti-fungal medications and none of them work. I had success with these medications, actually only needed to use one in the past years ago. It cleared up within a week.
It’s been about a month now, and for some reason the pool is closed until further notice. I wonder why since we are in the middle of summer. Anyone else get this drug resistant infection ?
The so called security guard is a joke. Seems like every time I go there and he is working he makes it a point to tell me I am doing something wrong. Today I was walking the wrong way but all those kids running around yelling and screaming I guess is fine
I enjoy coming all the way out here to this rec center. So many more gyms closer to where I live but the environment here suits me. There is very large parking lot. There is EV charging stations as well. The gym boasts several amenities such as a pools with lanes and free swimming and a water play area , a hot tub, plus showers for ladies and gentlemen and a family changing room. There are lots of machines and free weights but nothing there to focus too much on one thing. There is a walking track upstairs and an elevator. You can hold a party in one of their small group rooms with a fee. There is a basketball court and pickle ball meetups. There is an indoor field and small outdoor door turf area. There are classes , some free and some paid. There are lockers too. They have cracked down in letting kids run all over the place and use gym equipment as a play ground. That was getting out of hand last year. Once a year there is a huge influx of moths and they seem to not clean up the dead ones unless it gets really bad. I never see workers clean the place so you have to be vigilant on wiping your machines with the provided sanitizing wipes. I like the low daily/ monthly fee here. The view is amazing. I will keep on working out here for a while because of that. Until I want to bump up going to Lifetime fitness by my place, this is the spot in my opinion.
A nice little secret in Aurora! Very affordable and clean.
The pool area is great for families and kids. There’s a lazy river and whirlpool, a big slide, a splash area and mini slide, and water basketball.
Only one little thing we noticed is the showers in the family rooms aren’t always the warmest.
