Me and my family were there this past weekend. Myself and some others in our party were late, due to a snowmobiling event running way late. Because of this, we missed the sleigh ride. The sleigh ride is supposed to bring you right to dinner. We arrived by car and walked to the dinner cabin, with some directions from the staff. Making it a few minutes earlier than the sleigh ride, we came in through the back door on accident. The staff was VERY accommodating and friendly. I cant say enough good about this place. The food was excellent, the dance hall girl show was very charming and fun, and they all seemed very passionate about making sure you had a great time. The family that did make the sleigh ride said that is was a great time. After dinner you can check out a couple buildings that are made out to look like old mining town places, and there is a fire to hang around. I would definitely go again if I found myself in Colorado.
Our family had such a great time on this tour! We went on the Hot Cocoa ride with Peter as our driver guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and made our ride a lot of fun!
Our horses Smith and Wesson were great, and so was our driver and guide Chris! Enjoyed the ride, kids rode up front, great scenery.
Having lived here for the past 13 years we’ve taken guests and family on several sleigh rides throughout the county, but none have topped Golden Horseshoe. However, since Jen took over ownership it has only gotten better. We actually went twice this year with different groups. We had such a great time! It was not rushed, as we have sometimes felt in years past, the food was delicious, and the entertainment was great. We had such a relaxing fun night (both times)! I really can’t even think of how it could be done better. I would highly highly, recommend Golden Horseshoe…such a fun evening!
what a fantastic evening and experience, this was a top notch experience for our family and we loved hearing about the history and the impact that mining had on summit county, the show, food and the staff and not to mention the horses that pulled the sleigh ,all fantastic !! it is a must do if you are visiting or even if you live here, you will not be disappointed, the ambience and the experience will not soon be forgotten, thank you for helping us celebrate our 35 th anniversary with family
My family had an amazing time on our sleigh ride with Charlie, Calvin and Hobbes. The scenery was so beautiful, peaceful, nothing we’ve seen living in central Texas. The customer service was spot on. Thank you Avery for the hot cocoa! My family and I loved everything about our visit here.

This was such a fun and lovely activity! They make you amazing hot chocolate while you wait for the sleigh. There are multiple fires to warm yourself with. Our driver was so knowledgeable and they stop to let you take family photos. It’s truly beautiful and I highly recommend!
